Space Flower #1

This project was inspired by surrealist images of flowers. In sculpting the flowers, I aimed to create things that look like they could be on an alien planet - things that evolved in a parallel universe. The bases are make from ceramic, and use blobby, gloopy special effect glazes in conjunction with my gradient airbrushing techniques to create a sculpture that feels like it's from another world.

Measures 7 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter. The flower and the base come apart for shipping.

We take pride in making high quality, meticulous work, but due to the handmade nature of this product, small variations and imperfections in the shape or glaze are expected (and loved) as part of the magic of the piece.
